Our siberian Husky Information

This
is an idea of all that goes into each litter of puppies we have. First thing is
proper breeding. We do NOT mass produce Siberian Huskies. We have very few pre
selected sires and dams that will be potential parents to our very important
puppies.
What are the requirements of the sire and dam?
The dogs must be sound, what do we mean when we say sound? Genetically free from any life threatening conditions. We are currently in the process of getting the entire dog here in the kennel screened for OFA and eye certification. This is challenging process for us due to the fact we have a large number of dogs. We are proud to say we have generations of the puppies lines here to come and see and meet senior dogs still working in our kennel at older ages. So the tests now are just a mean to certify on paper what we already know in person they are good sound solid lines
What do you breed for first?
Our breeding parents are chosen for temperament first. A Siberian husky is not a mean or ill tempered dog they are sweet gentle out going and goofy dogs they have to be able to be calm and patent and possess the desire to be social with dog’s children and people. They need to be stable in nerves so in strange situation they have to be able to access it and be able to deal scary and new things with confidence and curiosity. When then look at structure and movement. A dog that lacks general good structure is a dog possibly waiting for issues in the future. We try our hardest to breed proven dogs that are working now and proved all of the above; we do not believe in finding pretty dogs matching them and then saying that is good enough.
Are your dogs show or working dogs?
Our dogs are both working and pet dogs. We try very hard to keep the working lines in our kennel. The Siberian is an amazing working dog with intelligence and running drive. With that comes a higher prey drive but the advantages to keeping the Siberian as close to the original breed is very important to us. We do have a few show lines in the kennel and are proud to have them here they are not as good as working dogs pulling the sled but they try hard they have true heart but are just not as well equipped to perform the extended sledding that the true working lines are.
What are your lines?
Our lines have show lines added to them to try and maintain a general show features as well. All the dogs are born in the house raised in the front room with our family. They have the sights and sounds our daily lives they are cuddles loved cleaned brushed a held and talked to. We do not just breed dogs we try and raise sound family pets, working dogs and even a few show dogs.
Why are the dogs so much money?
We charge the amount we do because of the care and commitment we put into each dog and puppy. We go the extra length to try and make them a dog that will be the perfect dog for your family no matter what that is. Price is not always the way to tell if a dog is of high quality. The quality is the dog and the sire and dam. We are in this for the long term not a kennel set up quick to produce puppies for resale we are here to enjoy the breed try and explaion t he breed and promote the breed for all its qualities
What about help training and support?
We are a teaching kennel we are happy to help our new puppy owners with advice training tips and even have them come and learn to sled with them to help stimulate their new dog. We are here for any of our new puppy owners and try to the best of our ability to help them is problems arise.
What if I can not keep the dogs any more?
Well this would very very disappointing indeed but if the new owner has to give the dog up we are very dedicated to our dogs and will taken them back here to the kennel. These are more than just money investment to us and they are a large part of our family. If they have to be surrendered they come back here. There are no options they come back here.
Why do I have to alter them?
Simple we have worked very hard to produce a line of Siberians that are wonderful in nature have great working ability and are good family pets. We do will not sell them to new homes just to be bred to any old dog. All dogs are sold on spay and neuter contract unless otherwise arranged, we are very strict on them being altered and do have the right to take the dog back here if proof of altering is not done with in 6 months of purchase.
Can I see the parents?
Yes of course you can. We have all the sires and dams here they live here full time and part of our home they are not just brought in to whelp and make babies. Come meet the parent s the uncle aunts and grandparents. We are happy to show you all of the dogs that are related to your new pet and find it an important part of the bonding experience between the new owner and our kennel.
